Any tips on cleaning up all the chips afterwards?

What's the best method to clean all the chips out of the slots for the T bolts? Do you tip the whole machine over? Vacuum it out? Use a speaker magnet?

The cut a piece of 1/8" by about 1" flat bar into a T-slot shaped scraper which you use the scrape all the chips to the ends of the slot.

I use paper towels and chase the chips out of the T-slots, then vaccum them up with a shop vac.

I use what Ckirchen is talking about. I got ones with two different sizes, one on each end, from McMaster since we have a bunch of different sized T slots here. Does the job pretty well along with vaccuming and paper towels. Also have ground one down for the even smaller T slots on the Struers Exotom 150

2. Turn power off to your garage.
3. Give one tool to your both your nephews along with five quid each.
4. Go have a beer for an hour or two.
5. Come back to clean garage

I like your idea but perhaps a pair of gloves for the kids too. You wouldn't want them to cut themselves.

BTW don't forget to start the BBQ while your having a cold one, or two, maybe three, or more
