Just got a steal of a deal on ebay. Bought them mainly b/c of their weight (6.8lbs each), but will sell them for their intended use. I got 5 of them. Minicut International 1-1/2" solid carbide ball nose. 1-1/4" shank. OAL is 9", LOC is only 1.25" TiAlN coated. 6flute ![]() ![]() Anyone got a idea of what these would retail for? I know they are a weird size.

| Somebody paid some big big dollars for those. However they probably aren't worth much more than scrap value, unless you can find the right buyer, and my guess is he doesn't need them anymore since he sold them. You, or at least I don't see carbide up in the 1.5 inch size very often, so they may be valuable as raw stock since they aren't fluted the whole way. I think you will be hard pressed to find a buyer. To have something like that made, since I highly doubt its off the shelf, well over $1000 a pop, most likely more. So... just out of curiosity, since you already bought them, what did you pay? |

| $30 each is what I paid. ![]() Bought them as scrap, but might try to find a tool and die shop that can use them or even maybe a grinding shop that can cut them into a normal endmill or something else. I know just the raw material in its ground form is worth around $500. Since the economy is in the crapper and since my work is laying people off, ive gotten into the tooling business on the side. Working with a few local shops selling them tooling I get off ebay. Im trying to find a solid supply (cheap) of Korloy or Toolmex CNMG 544 and 644 inserts for a shop that does nothing but machine ASME flanges. Looking for guhring firex 16mm and 19mm inserts for the RT800WP inserted drills.
