Can anyone explain to me or point me in the direction of a good resource to learn manual cutter comp when lathe programing. I have only written a handfull of programs and am still a little stumped on how and why to manual comp the cutters. I recently build a tube bender die and i used a pattern repeat cycle to machine out the radius on the lathe and i had to manual comp the cutter because the machine could not pick up g41 or g42 on a cycle. when it was rouging . Any way i had help from a teacher @ the college where i took machinng a few years back but i really want to learn it on my own! Thanx |
