We're working on some mag housings. Most of the job is going great, however, we have to drill some .040 holes about an inch deep. The boss was saying it would be good to get some lubrication while drilling, but we can't use coolant on the magnesium. He was saying something about a spray mist that woould/could spray a very fine mist with vegetable oil to lubrcate the drill. Anyone ever hear of some gadget like that? Chappyd |

| I'm no expert but you try just getting PAM from your local supermarket. Or try a can of tap Magic out, it sounds like you need some form of Aerosol. If you want to get really fance you can look into an Atomizer but I think that PAM or tap Magic might do the trick here. i'd look to see what other recommend. If the Drill is sticking though try rubbing it down with candle wax, I know it works great on wood screws in lumber, who knows maybe it's great on Mag.

| http://www.jtsmach.com/jtswebshop/Fluids/FL007.asp And there are also Micro-Drop dispensers which are time released misters, but they are in the $300-400 range which is expensive for a mister. Hope that helps. |
