Milling racks on mill

hi, a mate wants rack milling in an pneumatic ram piston rod, only problem is i only have an haas vertical he wants an MOD 2.5 rack milling in the rod, can you get an slot drill what has the tooth angle on?? if you had to do it what would you do??, i know its normally done on an horizontal, but if i can get tooling to do it on my mill i can get alot of these to do.

Presume 20° PA for metric module? Conical tapered end mill, 20° per side, .062" small end dia, 1/2" L.O.C.

Pretend your vertical is a horizontal. Stand the shaft in the vertical position and mount side mills with the correct profile in your spindle.
