I'd go with a Hypertherm 30 (1k), but if you could swing it go with a 1000(2k), as if you build a plasma table it makes life much easier with a machine torch. You should probably start with a 5 hp compressor.
what is a good plasma cutter for home ,not the tiny ones but definitly small ones
and what is a good compressor for it that will also be good for general use...Are prices coming down these days cause of the downturn,???under a 1000 $ if possible

Lever "A", and Lever F'in "B"
Hypertherm is good, as is Thermal Dynamics.
You will need to dry the air!
