I have rifle plans for a single shot rifle that I bought back in the 1980's. They came from a fellow by the name of Frank de Hass. If you can let me know your address I can copy them and send them to you. |

| Erm.. Legal Issues here guys. Heads up. If you're making a firearm and handing it to someone else (in the US) then it has to be registered. Ie, Legal. You can make one for yourself, but if you hand it to someone else it's got to be registered. Full Stop. Here in the UK it's not a problem since we're not allowed stuff like that. We get by with harsh words and eyebrow movements

| Firearm registration is a state by state basis, unless you have one of the special NFA weapons. Short barreled rifle, AOW, Full Auto or Silenced, those are federal registrations. But for the plain ol vanilla guns, here in Texas they are not registered. If you make a legal firearm for yourself then you are fine. You cannot make it with the intention to sell. But later if you decide to transfer it to some one else (which you can do per the atf) then it has to comply with same markings a manufacture has to put on them. said specs can be found on the ATF's website. |

I had a conversation with Mr. Holtzapple today and he gave me the info I needed to order the plan book from the De hass family. That way the book of plans will be mine and I may use them to make a rifle without any concerns as to copy writes or other problems. leibowitz |
