If this is the wrong forum I apologise, I did look for somewhere else but couldn't see any place.
Anyway, British Gas in the UK just announced a 35% (yes, thirty five%) in gas prices with immidiate effect yesterday (gas in the uk is not car fuel, but the stuff you cook with for my foreign friends).
Obviously I'm thinking of switching suppliers. Anyone else got ideas on this please? I'm thinking that the other suppliers will increase theirs too. How long should I wait before switching?
Others must be in a similar situation. Electricity prices have hiked too and since our machines use a lot of it (multiple compressors, chillers, high volume water pumps, high vacuum diffusion pumps all running 24/7) I really need a good solution here.
These hikes are really eating into my margins. What do you guys do? Swallow the hike or pass it on to your customers?
I love deadlines- I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.
We call it a fuel/energy surcharge added to the price. It's either that or sell the company to the fuel/energy supplier.
