| Converting a Grizzley Lathe to CNC is it worth it? Is it worth having a CNC lathe, and is it worth converting a grizzley? What cost I expect. What are the benifits of such a conversion? I have a 3 axis CNC mill could not imagine running that without the CNC. R. |

| convert to cnc I think you have answered your own question... If you do repetitive machining even the simplest. it is worth it. cost will vary greatly depending on the drivers, controller, and drive methods you use (servo vs. steppers)(gecko vs. uhu) It really comes down to needs. |
