Hello everyone... I am looking for a computer to run mach 3 software for my milling machine and lathe stepper motors. Would anyone have an inexpensive computer they are willing to part with to get me up and going. If not, is there a computer that would be recommended by anyone out there. Are there certian systems that will work better than others. I have a laptop but dont have the printer pin setup to run it, and need something I can setup and leave in my shop for running my machines. Thanks |

| Some Laptop[s work. You could get a card that may fit the laptop and get it to work. As a general rule of thumb, 1 Ghz is about the minimum you would want for a CPU. Onboard parallel ports are a plus, but can be installed after market. As for computers, there are loads of them on Ebay that can be had dirt cheap. Some complete with monitors.
