Question for you all: I keep seeing in my machining magazines these really great looking little saw blades. They look like little circular saw blades (4"diam. maybe) and they use them to cut slits or cutoff metal. I have not seen them in any catolog I've seen. Where do you get them? Thanks, Skipper |

I believe what you are referring to are known as either Slitting or Slotting Saws (or slitting/slotting cutter) You can get them in various widths, diameters, and materials. You can get them from a number of places- Enco, McMaster, MSC to name a few. You'll need an arbor to use them. Hope this Helps. -Matt |

| Just be very mindful and conservative on the SFM and tooth count for the material you are cutting with thin slitting cutters. The thinner cutting edges cannot pull heat away fast like an endmill or drill. Nor can they handle much chip load. Flood coolant helps, but not always practical. DC
