Ok, first off I have a X3 CNC'ed with the CNC Fusion Deluxe kit that is working great with all my aluminum parts @ 16-24IPM. Now I have this part that is steel to cut out. 1/4" thick steel that came from Home Depot. No idea as to what type. Appears to be fairly soft. What size end mill, flutes, speed, fee, doc, etc should I use to start with? I will be doing profiling of the part. Also, I just bought some roughing bits, are the better to take rough cuts or something than a standard end mill?
