| Suppose that would help Aluminum 6061, Tolerance is 0.025mm on the 5mm high walls, other than that not very important, BUT I do get a nice mirror finish on the walls so yeah you can push it but of course the finish must not suffer too much.I am cutting it with 2 Flute Alu-Cut cutters @ 10000rpm(max of the machine) and am running 1:30 flat per part cycle time, would like to know how close I am to optimum with the 2 flute cutters, when I wear them out I'll move over to 3 flutes and should cut 20 seconds or so, but my supplier didn't have any. Roughing with 8mm, finishing with 4mm. Regards, Jonathan. |

| 1:30 sounds like you're pretty close to optimum. I took your .xt file and put some toolpath to it in MasterCam. I got a cycle time of 1:50 without really looking too deeply. With some tweeking it could get somewhat better but sounds like you're on target. |
