| Looking at a few known specimens now, and I see what you mean. Kewl, thanks! That of course brings up a different question now -- at the end of the tool, there is a small semi-circle cut out on each cutting edge. Any idea what that is for? Cheers, -Neil. |

I'm actually referring to these semi-circular cuts. Now that you mention that, I think it really is the remnant (cutaway) of the flute grind. ![]() . |
