Cutting Thin Wall Tubings

I have several brass and aluminum thin wall tubings measuring .03 in. to .05 in. wall thickness with an o.d. from .06 to .50 inch.

What is the best way to CLEANLY cut the tubings?

The tools I have on hand are bandsaw, table saw, scroll saw, chop saw, lathe, vertical mill, and Dremel.

With the tools that you have a bandsaw is probably the best bet. To do it right get a tubing cutter (like one that is used for plumbing) and a deburing tool.

You have access to a lathe, parting these off should be fairly easy even with HSS, use coolant...

I use a circular jewelers saw. A 3" diameter blade about 0.020 thick with a fine pitch tooth works good. I hold it in an arbor on a manual mill.

I use a small tubing cutter purchased at Home Depot for most of my tubing cuts. I also have used a razor saw and a small set of files to clean up the burrs.
