    speeds and feeds

    Hi Guys,

I'm relatively new to the world of cnc machining and I'm also learning as I go along. I'm starting to use tipped tooling and I need to know how to work out the best speeds and feeds from the information given to me by the tooling supplier, Vc and Fz etc. Can anyone help.

Here is a online calculator....however, these ratings do not take into account your machine rigidity or material you are cutting.

    hope it helps

Here is a habit I got into years ago, I got tierd of figuring it out based on the tool suppliers recomended SFM so I came up with this. Then I cane change the SFM at will to get optimum perfromance from the tool and not have to refigure the rst out.
