Hi: I got really tired of looking in the Machinery Handbook every time I wanted to turn MNPT or FNPT threads. I have yet to find a good source that gives all of the basic dimensions for CNC turning. So for those of you that want a simple quick reference to get the job done, please refer to the attached XL spreadsheet. All values were taken from the Machinery Handbook. I have used this table for all of our NPT threads, and it works. Adjust the depth of thread to give 3-1/2 turns to snug up of a test fitting. The instructions are aimed at a FAGOR 8055T CNC, but the table values can be adapted for any control. cheers. I ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY MISTAKES YOU OR I COULD MAKE cheers |
