Hello Friends. I'm an artisan with minimal knowledge of machining metal, so I'm hoping for some expert assistance. I've developed a new line of rigid cases that require a machined and anodized aluminum frame around the the exterior. You can see the design here. The size is 30cm x 35 cm x 7mm thick. It has to be perfectly polished and deburred with threaded holes on the sides. I've contacted some rapid machine shops, but the costs they've quoted are not realistic for my price point. Does anyone know if there is a way to get a piece like this done at a reasonable cost without having to make thousands of units at a time? Also, if anyone wants to do some freelance work for the initial prototyping, I'd be thrilled! |
