My Background
I have 1 year in machine technology from local CC
About 3 years grinding fired industrial ceramics
1 year milling pultruded fiberglass
2 year degree in mechanical engineering technology
10 years as a mechanical and manufacturing engineering person
Latest challenge,
I have been hired on to learn the machining of green ceramic parts using a fidia 5 axis machining center (This is not the shop I am in, but the same machine) as well as some 3 axis fadals. I have only a limited knowledge of cnc programming and looking for some good references to help me learn. I am working with someone who is very knowledgeable, but with limited English (his English is limited, not mine.) Most of the part programming is done by our programmers, but I need to come up to speed with code as soon as possible as we do a lot of editing and small programming as well. Looking for books and or work books, online….
Thanks,
