What router bit(s) do I need? | | Apologies if this is not posted in the right section. I am new to this whole milling/CNC thing.
I am planning on doing some milling on aluminum material. And maybe some wood for "artsy fartsy" decorative stuff.
But primarily, I want to be able to drill holes and square cutouts on 0.06" thick aluminum alloy (5052-H32). And also on 0.125" anodized aluminum alloy (5052-H32).
The smallest hole is going to be 1/8" and the largest hole is going to be 7/8".
Can anyone recommend a router bit to use for this purpose?
Question2: Are there different router bits for metals, for wood and for acrylic? Is there a general-purpose router bit?
Question3: I may want to try doing some PCB milling. Is there a special kind of router bit for this purpose?
Other Info: The CNC is a home-built machine (bought from eBay), the router is a Bosch Rotozip RZ25. Software is Mach3.
Thanks for your time. |
