Hi folks, New to the forum here (posting at least). My father bought a Tormach CNC mill about 6 months back and hasn't really finished setting it up yet. Disappointing because I have some great projects lined up. Anyway, to the point... I'm looking for a good book on CNC milling to get him for xmas, but haven't found one searching through the hundreds on Amazon that I was convinced enough to buy. He has many years of experience on a lathe and mill as a hobbyist, but he's very new into the world of CNC. I would really appreciate if you could recommend a book you've read on the subject that you thought was worthwhile. Thanks! Happy Holidays! |

| Go go Haas website and download milling Handbook..... why waste money, when you can download pdf file and print it. While you are there you can download Lathe Handbook too if you want to learn.

i agree. up till a couple months ago before i got my tormach, i had never seen a cnc mill in person, much less programmed one. i am not fast at it yet but every think i needed to know about programming i have found in this book. there are good examples and i find it easy to read. between that and the machinery's handbook, i have been successful for quite a few projects in the last couple months. |
