Hello all, I've got some 304 which I need to get a 'nice' finish on. I'm not to sure what I'm looking for. It only needs to look good. I've got a 5 flute carbide 1/2 end mill. I'm thinking that with a very small stepover might leave a neat finish. Other then that I've got a 1" 3 flute indexible end mill, or a 2" 5 flute indexible face mill. Feeds/Speeds for those? Thanks! There is a shop near to me I could bring em to that has a large surface grinder. |

| If your finish profiling, then I would use the carbide endmill conservatively 1/2" 5 flute carbide S1500 F37.5 for .005 ipt Use the Face mill if that is your intentions is only to face the top, you will get alot less small crosshatch lines in the work piece if you used the 1/2". About S250 F6.25 for .005 ipt |
