Peck driling on spade drill?

Hi,
I have to drill on a CNC lathe a 1" dia. 13" long hole in stainless steel using a spade drill. Should I go with peck drilling, or just keep drilling straight to the bottom?
Thanks

If it has through coolant, I would just keep it going through solid all the way. If chips start packing, then yeah, might have to peck it.

are you using something like the Allied max cut drill with carbide insert (tip) or HSS ??

if using the the former go all the way - no pecks - if using HSS them peck once every inch of depth

to break the chip you might just want to use like a 1-2 turn pause/dwell ( depending on the stainless) use the fastest dwell you can basically like every 2-4 inches. use this only if your not getting good chips, feeds and speeds are important on long drilling. If your getting good chips out ot the drill leave it alone.
I wouldnt peck drill it with a spade drill as it will cause chatter and your drill might walk off.
