Hello all, I have a need to grind a spherical Radius on the OD of a part. The part is approx. 4" in Dia., it has a 1" bore through, and is approx. 1.5" thick. I have to hold a +/- .0002" tolerance all around this OD spherical Radius. I have a B&S 618 surface grinder and a B&S #13 ID/OD grinder as well. Does anyone have any experience with such grinding, or have any fixturing ideas that could help me. Thanks to all for such a great and informative collection of invaluable information. Chris |

| Sorry, I did not clearify... The part will be roughed out on a lathe and heat treated. there will be approx. .005" stock per side to grind off. I thought I could dress the rad. on the wheel, but was told it is more accurate to "single point" grind such a rad. with this tolerance. Thanks for the reply Chris |
