| Hello, My name is Jorie. I'm an 18 year old girl who is very interested in Mastercam/solid works/pretty much any machine programming. My father has been a machine programmer for 20 or so years...he has taught me some of his experience and I am very interested in this type of work. I would like to know if any body knows about any online program I could look into for furthering my career. Problem is, I don't have much money...so, just some help on free taught websites would be nice! ![]() I practice mastercam 10 and 9.1 all of the time, and I would looooooove to have some one online to help me progress because I need a tutor! THANK YOU!!!! message me if you have any info/advice!

| There are a lot of dedicated CAD and CAM forums here. Those will be more useful for learning the software side of things. If you want to use this site for learning, go through the forums you're interested in and read the first few threads that go over the basics, then ask specific questions you might have in the most appropriate forum. This site is very good for learning, but you have to have some kind of plan on how to use it. If you want to have some kind of career in this type of stuff, search jobs online that you would be interested in, and see what the general requirements are...then read and search the forums to learn what you want...if u don't find what u're looking for then post a question. Smartflix.com has some good dvds that you can rent on cnc, lathes, and milling. http://smartflix.com/store/category/115/Metalworking |
