Looking for a reliable source for low volume, prototype, custom made helical gears. These are generally used in pairs with drive and driven members. The drive gears are 12-16 pitch and 12-24 teeth, OD is usually UNDER 3". Here's the trick: the drive gear is usually HIGH helix angle (49 to 58 deg). The driven gear is the complement needed to affect a 90 deg axis change. Application: automotive distributor drive/driven gears. Material: mosly 4150 H&T (drive gear), Gear bronze (driven), perhaps others as situations warrant. Stricktly low volume/prototype levels. MUST be certifiable to AGMA 7 min, 10 preferred. Some terms/specs negotiable. Send P/M for details/contact info... |
