Any of you guys cutting stub acme threads on a regular basis? What inserts do you use? I keep having problems with different brands of inserts. This throws off GageMaker quite a bit and it is starting to be a pain. I have used ToolFlo and Iscar and they are not ground the same at all. Any words of wisdom would be great. |

| I have doing loads of Stub Acme threads, 1st - make sure your tips are Stub ACME and not ACME - same with gage maker rollers, i seem to remember that they have a recall on some of these. 2nd - are your threads standard ? - our Oil based customer states S.A threads but thier spec. is slightly wider than the tips we get. we use ISCAR and GLENDOWER ST |
