I am starting to use a precix 8400 4X8 cnc router. It has an aluminum table and three vaccuum pumps. How does the vaccuum table work exactly? I have put a cut down piece of 3/4" mdf over the whole table. It seems to make the vaccuum pumps very hot. What is the theory here? Should I poke litle holes in the sacrificial piece? Should I use a thinner piece of MDF? Should I only cover the Vaccuum table holes and leave the rest of the table open? Thank you. All opinions are appreciated. Joe. |
