Can anyone provide me with the formula to caculate tool offset to machine a degree with a round insert? For example I want to machine a 36.2" x 10 degree OD with a 1/2" rd insert. How can I calculate where to start the X axis with the Z starting at 0.1? I know it would be easier to use tool nose radius comp (G41 & G42) but I would like to know the formula. Thanks |
