I need a little help OK i need alot of help but thats another subject i need to machine a banjo fitting and i cant figure out how to calculate the distance from the face of the part to 1" diameter i have attached a print Thank you,

| Hey Jackson, Do you want the distance from the bottom of the threads to the start of the small radius that you blanked out, or to the edge of the 1" diam of the body of the banjo? The distance from the threads to the diam of the banjo is .699" and that is using the diam of the threaded shank of .540" like on the print. The distance to the small .130" radius blend between the shank and the diam of the body is .633". Mike

Thank you that works great i guess i need a cam system but even if i had one i would want to know how to hand figure it and again thanks

| Hey Andre'B thanks for helping. Jackson this is what makes this site so great. As I told you, I am, no good at math, and I'm so glad I have cam and don't have to figure it by hand otherwise I would sure enough never get anything done!Mike

Yeah i probably need to break down and get a system im just putting it off. but im one of these people that i have to know how its done. but for the recored in not that good a math i can do just enough to get by LOL!!!!!!!!!!
