| I 've cut internal 60 degree and 45 degree internal splines using a Bridgeport Shaping Attatchment and a good quality rotary table before, but that's a simple angled tooth profile on the cutter. Also before getting a Fellows Gear Shaper. The profile for a single gear tooth cutter would be a bit more difficult to gring up and create considering it's involute profile, point width, and pressure angle you needed. All will have to be calculated out well in advance for a good quality internal gear It's simple with a Gear Shaper and what's called a Pencil Cutter. |
