    obsolete Iscar inserts

I have been told that Iscar no longer makes DCMT 3-1-14 and DCMT 3-2-14 inserts in IC 656 grade. I have been using those inserts for over 7 years as finishing inserts and have over a 1000 programs based on them. I am looking for an Insert equivilent to this that performs as well. I have tried Iscar's replacements, I think they were IC 9250 and 9150......[I wasnt impressed, thats why I question the grade numbers]. Can anyone tell me a Sandvick general purpose equivilent to the IC 656 Iscar grade. I turn a wide variety of materials and the 656 had always worked well in many applications.
Come on Sandvik Reps. here's your chance to gain a new customer!!

Get use to it they are all doing it wanting you to upgrade cutters and inserts so they can make more money. They have been some improvements but if you work in a small shop with a tight budget going to be hard to convince the boss to quit being penny wise and $1000 dumb. we have a job here were changing the insert from a $8.27 insert to a $13.57 insert yielded a profit of $37,500 in the 1st year in time reductions. Lucky our owner understand it takes a buck to make more bucks.

    Good luck
