i was wondering if anyone could tell me how much a 1.375 O.D. shaft made out of 420 Anealed ss would change in diameter in the heat treatment process. right now the material is at about 18 HRC. we will machine the shaft then send it off to be hardened to about 40 HRC. we just are not sure how many thousandths of an inch it will change in diameter. |
