| Hey guys, got a few questions for which I have been searching the archives today and yesterday. My buddy works in a shop with a Kao Fong (KaFo) KFV-40 mill and a Fanuc O-M. The head is not releasing the tools properly any more. We think the Belleville washers are shot. The manual calls for 108 of part no. Y0775-342 in the size 34 x 16.3 x 2t. So: 1. Is there a better forum here on which to post these questions? 2. Where is the best place to buy these washers? Anywhere have any good deals? I have searched on here for Belleville and did not find much specific information. I could be missing something however... 3. What exactly does the size specification indicate? Our initial impression was that it was 34mm (OD) x 16.3mm (ID) x 2t (??? My first thought was Taper, but that doesn't make sense!) Searching online for Belleville washers did not yield much with our corresponding OD/ID sizes. TIA so much for helping the New Jack! Trace |

| They left out the MM. That's 2mm thick. Also the length of the stack and the preload are critical to machine preformance and SAFETY. If you don't know what your doing find someone who does!

| 2mm thick. I'm an idiot. We aren't doing it ourselves, we are smart enough to know what we're dumb at! However, we DO have to get the shop to order them and are trying to find a decent deal. I think the last we heard, 108 washers was going for about $1000. Is that standard, or what? |
