DIAMOND BITS for glass engarving

Hello! I have a question regarding diamond toolbits adevertised to score and etch glass. Does anybody have any experince using them to make a score on the glass and cut or break the glass into the desired shape just like a handheld glass cutter?

I have been in touch with some suppliers and they just told me its for engraving only and they dont have any experience using them for the purpose I want to use them ; that is to cut glass into different shapes.

So you just want to use them to scribe the glass with the spindle off? or on?

They make diamond cutters with swivel heads which allows you to fluidly cut shapes by hand , howevr this takes quite abit practice. I,ve seen one of these cutters used in a cnc machine to cut glass.
