| Saw HARDINGE LATHE and thought maybe I could help. Nope. I've run CHNCs, Conquest 42s & 51, and Emags. Some with tailstocks, hydralic subspindles, programmable subspindles, live tooling, C-axis, incremental encoders, absolute encoders, but never an Elite. Just did a "Google" on the Elites. Sure wish I had one in my garage! ![]() About the only thing I dislike is the limited distance between spindles on the 42 series. We run short parts mostly, but a standard size 1-3/16 or 1-1/4 insert drill doesn't leave room for much else. Yep, I'm aware of the shorty drills. Someone please talk to the owner! ![]() Their collet set-up is much better than the adapters used on other machines for several reasons. |
