Hi All, I've a small desktop mill and mainly cutting aluminum. I'm slowly learning about tools and stuff. I always wondered what the non center cut endmills are used for? What are the advantages over the center cut endmills? Thanks, James http://nagycnc.com |

| They are cheaper to make. In light of the fact that an endmill is one of the most versatile all around tools that a machinist has: I don't see any benefit to a non center cutting endmill unless it is upfront price. With a center cutting endmill, you can shape, slot, profile and drill. Why give up the final asset? |
