    Frequently. Your machine needs to be capable of Rigid Tapping and keeping the spindle rotation and Z feed synchronized between pecks.

    Do a search using repeat rigid tapping. If you use the Google search just on cnczone.com you will get about 55 hits and if you use the cnczone search function you will get 26.

    You can also buy a custom Macro B Type Program from these guys. I have to say that everyone I send to them has been very satisfied.

    So it doesn't matter if I use G84.2 or G84 M29. All I have to do is add a Q(value)?
    Like:
    G84.2Z-25 S600R2 F600Q6; or

    G84Z-25 S600R2 F600Q6;
    M29S600

    Actually if this is a Fanuc Control you need the M29S600 before the Canned Cycle.

    It should handle it but as an added safety precausion try to Tap Air to see if there is any Fluxuation in the Spindle on the Return Stroke. Then Try Tapping something soft like Plastic (Delrin) or Aluminum 6061.

    Good luck and Happy Tapping
