Acme Thread Milling

I have to do a 1/2-10 Acme internal thread, approximately 3/4 deep and very nearly bottomed out. In the past I have done this job in two pieces and welded them together to get the sharp bottom to the acme thread.

I think it would be much more effective to thread mill this feature. Can anyone provide a good source for an acme thread mill? That way I can just helical interpolate down into the hole and be done with it. I see some single point acme thread mills, but I dont think tat is what I want. I want to be milling with the spindle cranking (I have no spindle position sensor), could I use a single point mill?

Did you have any joy in sourcing an achme thread mill. I have to manufacture a 12mm, 2 start, 2.5mm pitch Acme nut in Acetal. I am interested did you source a tool?
