Is it possible to grind a sphere to within a tenth or whatever tolerance they use for ball bearings? If you can how the heck do you hold it?

You get a Ball Lapping machine. They are used in Lapidary work. Google 'Ball Lapping Machine'. If you can't find anything I will look up the website for the manufacturer of the one I have and post it.
