| You need a macro just to mill flats??? Can you describe in better detail what you need and are trying to do? The question seems a little "strange" and its unclear what you're looking for....

We run a lot of parts that start out as round bar and end up square or rectangle. We run them mostly on a vertical mill using the rotary axis and machine all four sides. Would like a Macro where I could input variables for the (1)Radius of the bar, (2)Dia. of the cutter, (3)Clearance for cutter, (4)Depth of cut for the cutter, (5)Start point in X,(6) End point in X,(7) final Z depth. It should then calculate each position in Y as the Z increments down. Because of the round bar, the start and end position will change with every pass made in Z. Sure would be helpful to have such a macro. Thanks Sonny |
