I'm looking for a machine to shape a thin stainless steel to become a half egg shape, small size... about 10 inch or smaller. which machine and what you called it to do that job ? pounding machine does that or what ? I need very smooth result for thin stainless steel material. help please. regards cal |

Ah, you mean half an egg longways not half an egg crossway which would be rotationally symmetric. I guess a hammer and a form is the answer but my field is things that go round like lathes so I am not much help here. |

These machines have various dies/cutters depending upon shapes required. They will shear, slot, louver, bead, dish, planish etc. The proper shaped planishing or dishing tools fitted to the machine, will give the shape you require with very smooth finish if used properly. |
