I am looking for a few opinions on G&L vtl's versus Olympia vtl's. I know G&L has a good product but know nothing of Olympia. Any help would be helpful. Here are the links to the machines we are looking at. Thank you http://www.phillipsolympia.com/products/vtc.pdf and the VTC2500 http://www.giddings.com/fileadmin/gi...pecs_Nov04.pdf |

| I run an olympia V80 verticle boring mill(like a verticle lathe) everyday and I think you made the right choice.Ours is 2yrs old and the ways are rusty already and we have had numerous problems with bearings etc. They sure dont build them like they used to!Old webster bennetts run for decades before any problems surface. |
