Post offsetting tools

Does anyone know how to offset tools on a fanuc 6m (or 6t)? I have programmed and set up many funuc controlled machines and don't know if I have a parameter problem or what.
thanks earl

Any alarms? On 6M, tool lenght offset are stored in registers 01 to 99. To apply TLO, G90 G45 Z1.0 H01

It's a 1982 Mazak V 7.5 with a FANUC 6M control.

It uses a G45 and negative value offsets a typical program start would be as follows:

N30M06T00
N40G00G20G17G90
N50T00
N60G54
