Guhring has these spcial drills that are a 2 flute step drill they are not twist or spiral they are strait flutes i was wondering if anyone had ever tried these or know of some like them. I'm curently using a half round drill and it is working great i run it 21,000 rpm's F60. ipm's it steps from .192,.1575, to .125 i tried a twist and it made about 500 parts wich is 3000 holes before breaking. i drill 48 holes in about 1.5 mins the reason for the quetion is being a half round it is not balanced and i'm worried about the life of the bearing in the speeder at that rpm the recomendation is no more than 12,500 rpms on non balanced drills any ideas Thank you

| I'm not sure about your application put Guring stuff is usually top shelf. My experience is if they say it will do something it most likely will. I'd get the rep in and have him do a test for you. Can't hurt to try...
