The microswitch is workng fine but when i push advance i can hear the hydraulics pressure changeing directions but it wont go forward even when ive got high pressure? Any tips? The hydraulics are working on the tool turret fine.

Does this use a hydraulic motor or a piston in a cylinder to advance the tailstock?

I would look around at whatever solenoid valves are controlling that hydraulic circuit. Could be that one valve is not operating to allow the return flow from the cylinder/motor to the reservoir.
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

Thanks for the reply. There was a small twist in the parallelism between the tailstock spindle and the bar that holds the limit switch dogs. I loosened the clamp that holds both of these together and that took the twist out.
