My tailstock on our dainichi lathe wont advance it will reverse though. The microswitch is workng fine but when i push advance i can hear the hydraulics pressure changeing directions but it wont go forward even when ive got high pressure? Any tips? The hydraulics are working on the tool turret fine. |

| Does this use a hydraulic motor or a piston in a cylinder to advance the tailstock? I would look around at whatever solenoid valves are controlling that hydraulic circuit. Could be that one valve is not operating to allow the return flow from the cylinder/motor to the reservoir.

| Thanks for the reply. There was a small twist in the parallelism between the tailstock spindle and the bar that holds the limit switch dogs. I loosened the clamp that holds both of these together and that took the twist out. |
