    cutting inconel dry

Im thinking about cutting inconel dry with just a cold air gun on it. Is that stupid or would it work better than blasting the hell out of it with coolant?

Which operation. If your operation is finishing, it's possible, but your insert should be on ceramics whiskers or CBN (High CBN content with metallic binder) and it's better without lubrication.

But if you have to remove a lot of volume, use a lot of coolant because your tool become

    - Very high temperature
    - High chemical wear
    - hip adherent and difficult to cut

Use moderate cutting speed but important feed.
