I am in the process of working up an estimate to make some parts for a customer that will eventually be for Embraer. The problem is the material being called for is: Carbon steel 35 NC 6, and none of the material houses we deal with know what this could cross reference to. At first we thought it might be one of the 4000 series heat treatable steels, but now one is sure. Any ideas what this might be? |

| Jon L Get a copy of Sandviks insert catalog. In their tachnical reference for material they identify the ISO designations. Better yet, get a copy of "The Key To Steel" (Stahlschlussl????) OK I can't spell German. Anyway, either one should explain what it is.
