Hello all, I just changed jobs and in the new shop they use mastercam 9.1 They have the module for Mill and Router. We use the mill for a metal mill and the router for a moving gantry wood router. I was wondering what the real difference was between the two software packages. They seem to be the same interface.. I have not spent much time on them so this maybe a stupid question but I'm wondering it none the less. Could I use the mill (If I had the right post) on the router and vice a vera???? Thanks for your input.. JpBinc. |

| A router is just a simpler machine mainly used for 2D cutting whereas milling would involve 3, 4 and 5 axes and program for milling machine is complex as well.
