as far as endmill type, brand etc. if any of you have had experience. also some feeds and speeds would help me out as a starting point. what i have is some titanium 6AL-4V heat treated to 38-41 before i machine it. what i have to mill is a hex shape. with an od of of hex at 1.165" and id of hex at 1.065". so i would only need to machine .05" max per side with an end mill. but i have a length(z- depth of about .400"),and would like to mill it all at once as far as the depth. i want to just go to my depth of z-.400", then mill the hex shape. thanks for any help you can give. jeremy |

| that sucks; they also make it in a 3/8" the only diff. is the feed is .002 per tooth but then you would not be able to take your doc & woc in 1 pass. Kennametal does not make anything in high-performance em in the 7/16" size... |

| I recommend checking out OakView Tooling company. They are located in Columbia City, Indiana and cater to the needs of the Medical Market in Warsaw. They have an awesome selection of endmills as well can do custom work if you can not find the length you need. |
